2020 has been a busy year for everyone here at Treethorpe and despite the challenges presented with COVID-19, it has been ‘business as usual’ in terms of us providing our service to our clients. It has also been one of our busiest years yet in terms of new business from our Corporate Clients, international relationships and other third parties.
Our offices in London and Cambridge are open as per normal and we will be answering and directing calls to the appropriate person on the days that your Cases Manager may be working from home. You can also contact your Cases Manager directly on their mobile number or by email.
If you have an email address and would like an update on your case, please email your Case Manager who will then send you an invitation to our Client Portal. Once logged in to this, you can check on the progress of your case.
In January we were delighted to be awarded the ‘Gold’ Accreditation by Investors in People, which shows our commitment to our employees. The Investors in People grades are Standard, Silver, Gold & Platinum — only 17% of organisations achieve the Gold accreditation.
We were very pleased to announce earlier this year that Lauren from our London Office won Best Probate Research Paralegal in the National Paralegal Awards for the second year running. The National Paralegal Awards highlights the work of paralegals within the legal profession. Due to the current situation, the awards ceremony was held virtually this year but despite this over 500 people tuned in to watch the event.
In June, we welcomed two new members to the Treethorpe Team — Charlotte and Alasdair. Despite the challenges of remote training, they have both risen to the occasion and their first six months with us have passed quickly. We look forward to what their future here at Treethorpe brings.
This year, Rebecca in our Cambridge office has been fundraising for the charity Refuge. Refuge specialises in providing support and specialist accommodation to women and children escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse. Since the start of COVID-19, Refuge have seen an increased demand for their services. Rebecca and her daughter raised £220 by walking 2 miles a day throughout the whole of August — totalling 62 miles.
Between January and September, 100% of our clients rated our service as ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’ and 98% were either ‘Very Likely’ or ‘Quite Likely’ to recommend our service to others. We look forward to sharing our full results for 2020 with you in the New Year.
We wish all our clients and associates a Merry Christmas and prosperous 2021.
Please note our offices will be closed from the 25th December and we will re-open on 4th January 2021.
